Next up we are digging in the crates with Franchise from Austria whose creations range from live acoustic to electronic music. Franchise fuses riddim and baile funk with a signature sound that is as distinctively jazzy and bouncy as it is compelling. While he has released a series of remixes & edits for clubs & festivals he had the opportunity to showcase his music in various clubs and shared his remixes all around the world, as also headlining shows with Jarreau Vandal, Condukta, JAEL, Full Crate & many more. As always, with our "Diggin' w/" series, the Austrian DJ & Producer will bring you closer to his sound by highlighting his current heavy rotations.
LEYO & FS GREEN & JENGI - Father Stretch My Hands (Bootleg)
From the moment those 3 big names from the Netherlands teased that they will be realising a bootleg pack, I already knew it would be massive. One specific track from the pack that captured my attention was this one. Ever since I’ve first heard it, it has always been a part of my sets making it my “Summer Track of 2022”.
Kanye West - Power (Franchise Instrumental Edit)
As a producer myself, of course you would surely hear my own edits during my sets. But hearing it from someone else’s set makes me see it in a whole new perspective. I definitely remember when Jarreau Vandal performed my favourite track I’ve ever made at his Boiler-Room-Set back in 2019 in Rotterdam. Up until today, it still has the “power” to make the audience go crazy (and do moshpits.)
Joyce Wrice - On One (ft. Freddie Gibbs)
Growing up, I’ve been heavily influenced by R&B. Joyce Wrice is a new and upcoming artist from California who is bringing fresh vibes to this genre. She is certainly one of my favorite R&B artists of the moment. And everytime I hear this song, it’s giving me good vibes only.
Rema - Lady (Osive Remix)
Speaking of influences, another big one on my musical career would be Osive. He’s a beatmaker from my hometown, Vienna Austria. Back in 2021, Jarreau Vandal organised an Edit Battle and this was Osive’s entry. From the very first time I’ve heard his remix of Rema’s “Lady”, I already knew it would win the challenge! The drum and bass sample slowed down makes this one — anotha BANGA!
Brent Faiyaz - Waste No Ties (Brii Edit)
What is a set without a track from my homie — also from Vienna, Austria and now based in the Netherlands. You can hear Brii’s signature riddim and chord progression all throughout the track. The smooth soulful vibes of this song made it went viral on Tiktok - this should be the official remix right ?
s/o to Franchise for the selection.
