Dj Fki is a German DJ, producer and turntablist. He definitely rocks the crowd with his exciting mix of hip hop, house, garage and a lot of energy. The best selection combined with impressive mixing and beat juggling. Many also know him from his appearance in the form of scratches on various rap tracks or from different mixes and radio shows. He`s also performing live with the rap formation 4FLAVAZ, which he also provides with beats and scratches.
How did you get into music and especially djing?
It has all started with listening to and dubbing classic mixtapes from friends. After i studied them i bought my first records and saved money for my first own setup.
How would you describe your creative process when creating new music mixtapes/live sets?
I listen to music all day! I'm checking new tracks, old tracks, classic tracks and I'm listening to a lot of dj mixes, radioshows and livestreams. That inspires me and that's how I get ideas for creating my own stuff.
How would you define your sound?
I like underground stuff with rawness. It's a mix between golden era boombap hip hop, house and garage.
Which artists and sounds influence you the most when producing new tracks?
I am inspired by all artist who have their own signature. Artists who have been inspiring me for a long time are for example "A-Trak", "Klaus Layer", "Andhim", "Robosonic" and "Damu The Fudgemunk"
Which artist would you like to collaborate with in the future?
Of course A-Trak! One of the best Dj´s with incredible skills and an amazing producer! That would be the greatest collaboration for me.
